People tied to the fertile land of the Mesogeion valley, the brothers Sotiris and Pericles Papasotiriou took over in the middle of the 20th century the care of a small paragon in Porto Rafti.
Two generations later, we are grateful to those people who have communicated to us the love for the earth and continue our family tradition.
The parapet at Porto Rafti was extended with the contribution of the younger, Christos Papasotiriou. She applied mechanical methods of cultivation, improved standardization and contributed to the emergence of Royal figs Markopoulou in the domestic market.
Nowadays, the Papasotiriou Sykeonies consist of 600 trees, of different ages, located on 45 acres of private land and cultivated with personal care by the members of our family.
In order to proceed with the production of processing products, we have formed our laboratory in Markopoulo Mesogaias, where all the required hygiene and safety procedures are carried out, packaging of fresh figs and the production of our jam.
