It is richer in essential oils than common sage. It is used in various recipes, e.g. in roast meat or fish. The herbal tea has antibacterial, antifungal, disinfectant, astringent and antioxidant properties and for these reasons it was traditionally used in cases of excessive sweating, nervous disorders, mouth and pharynx inflammations, colds etc.

Herbal tea
To prepare one cup: add about 10 leaves or 3-4 stems in 150 ml hot water. Cover and let stand for a few minutes (about 5 minutes are usually enough; it depends on how strong you want it!). Strain the tea into the cup.
Enjoy it as it is or with your favourite sweetener.
