Savory is an aromatic herbaceous annual plant growing throughout the Mediterranean, particularly in dry and rocky areas. From ancient times (named thymvri) is used as a herb for various diseases and as a flavoring in cooking. It coexists with the thyme and predates flowering.
Savory is used – as oregano and thyme – as an excellent spice and flavoring in cooking, salads, sauces and grilled meat.
